Secure Print Solutions
Migrating to a networked printer environment raises security issues. Some modern printers have hard disks which can house confidential data. Because they are connected to the network they need to be locked down and protected. Ergo can help organisations counter the risks through policy and procedure, making sure data is encrypted or wiped at the end of every day, for example. Our secure print solutions take security and personal printing a stage further, ensuring that when print jobs are sent to a printer they can only be accessed by the authorised user.
Working in partnership with the leading manufacturers of secure print technology Ergo aims to deliver client driven solutions that both improve IT and business efficiencies in addition to addressing issues around the area of security and compliance.
Our secure print solutions encompass areas such as Job Accounting and Pull printing. One such solution is FollowMe - A “pull-print” solution, which helps organisations distribute their print more effectively, maximising the efficiency of their printer fleet while giving users a richer selection of features. It provides an added layer of security and confidentiality around the print process (negating the fear that shared printing removes confidentiality). Authentication is required before the user can access the printer.
Additionally, Ergo has a long standing partnership with Safecom, a leading supplier of secure print technologies. SafeCom solutions offer similar enhancements to the print process and can be integrated with HP printers. Documents and forms that are used on a regular basis, for example, can be stored on a SafeCom server until the user calls them up at the printer. Documents that are not collected by users are automatically deleted after a configurable time.
Ergo’s secure print solutions are focused on delivering real value to clients allowing organisations focus on core competencies and work more efficiently.
