Virtual Client Services
Virtual Client Services (VCS) is the most cost-effective method of rolling out and managing Windows 10. As well as measurable ‘capex’ and ‘opex’ savings, you can expect dramatic productivity improvements because of the increased availability and flexibility of a virtual environment.
Easy integration with other Microsoft products starts to change the way people work, making them more inclined to adopt new technologies like Skype for Business, delivering further savings to the business.
VCS has been developed as a modular update for our clients, enabling them to respond to market conditions, technological advancement and customer demand. Using Citrix XenApp and Citrix XenDesktop VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure), infrastructure is available for hosting applications based on standardised, repeatable templates.
Built-in provisioning services simplify and reduce the cost of delivering applications to the end user. Virtual Office software can be accessed from thick and thin client devices as part of a published desktop along with other line-of-business applications.
VCS use Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) for compute resources, Storage Managed Services (SMS) for storage, backup and archive, and ITIL processes for service management. Each VCS deployment is run out of a data centre by Ergo, where it is housed in a dedicated customer-specific environment called the ‘Customer Capsule’.
