Digital Platform Sales Manager


The Digital Platform Sales Manager will play a front of house role in identifying and engaging with prospective customers. A key aspect of the role will be to develop a pipeline which starts to drive achievable revenue within 6 months.

They will act as an evangelist for the Ergo Low Code, DAP platform and DevOps capability and attend events, tradeshows and meet ups to network, meet with prospects, create new relationships and also keep track of buying trends and evolving customer needs in this space.

The role involves:

  • The identification and profiling of strategic target accounts, with the support of the Digital Platform Development team and the Ergo Marketing team
  • Making the initial approach to senior contacts within these accounts
  • Nurturing these contacts and any opportunities that present

This role will have responsibility for the sales life cycle across the customer journey stages - from generating awareness through to the account being an advocate of Ergo.

This role will be essential to driving revenue growth and will carry a sales target.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the annual Sales Target
  • Work with Marketing and other Partners to create and run events, and promotional activity
  • Identify and target new suitable prospects
  • Engage with the Ergo Sales team and Ergo Customer base to identify and target achievable wins
  • Building recurring revenue
  • Establish strong business relationships with key decision makers and influencers in our prospect and account base
  • Manage commercial and technical aspects required to close complex deals, liaising closely with the software team
  • Attend and present at prospect and customer meetings to aid business development
  • Research the IT services market on a regular basis, keep abreast of industry best practice, trends, market intelligence and competitor offerings
  • Provide accurate forecast information regarding pipeline and projected revenue
  • Exceed the highest standards of professionalism and customer service at all times
  • Comply with all internal administrative processes and liaise with the relevant operational functions as required

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years previous relevant experience in a similar role
  • Experience of the Software Development lifecycle is essential
  • Proven track record in sales / target achievement
  • Computing, Business / Technology, Marketing or IT Degree highly desirable
  • Previous formal sales training very advantageous
  • Exposure to the latest Cloud and DevOps tools and techniques would be a strong plus
  • A proven track record in managing both a pipeline of prospects, and a recurring customer base to drive year on year growth in revenue
