Leading IT services provider Ergo has acquired software licensing specialist Micromail for an undisclosed sum, in a deal that will make Ergo the strongest Cloud and Licensing Solution Partner (CSP/LSP) in Ireland. Ergo is now uniquely positioned to offer Irish organisations an end-to-end service around Microsoft products, from design, deployment and licensing to running them as a managed service, speeding up the return on investment cycle.
Cork-based Micromail will continue to trade under its own name, building on Ergo's scale and diversity to extend and deepen its licensing consultancy and software asset management business across all sectors of the Irish economy. Though primarily a Microsoft house offering Volume Licensing solutions across all Microsoft’s Program models (Enterprise, MPSA, Service Provider, & Campus), Micromail also supports multi-vendor licensing solutions including Adobe, VMware, Kaspersky, AutoDesk, and many others.

Microsoft’s new Cloud Solution Partner program provides opportunities for Licensing Solution Partners (LSPs) and CSPs to join forces and bring together the two strands of Microsoft’s technology stack, On-premises & Cloud. As the Microsoft licensing model evolved to encompass cloud services such as Office 365 & Intune & Azure through Managed Services Partners, Ergo was a first mover in Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Partner (CSP) program. Offering LSP services is a natural next step in providing a comprehensive Microsoft portfolio.
